J.D. joined Mesa’s Office of Economic Development in April 2013. During his tenure, he has helped promote investment and growth across the City of Mesa through developing targeted research strategies and building strong connections and partnerships within the business community. J.D.’s business development efforts have resulted in over $40 million in capital investment, the creation/absorption of 175,000 SF of commercial space, and the creation of more than 200 new jobs for the City of Mesa.
Prior to joining Mesa’s Office of Economic Development, J.D. spent three years with CBRE’s Labor Analytics Group (LAG), one of the top site selection consulting groups in the country. While at LAG, he served as the lead analyst on nationwide site selection projects for many Fortune 500 and international clients.
J.D. was born and raised in Tempe, AZ and graduated from Arizona State University in May 2012, where he received bachelor’s degrees in Marketing, Business Tourism, and German.
