Kelley Keffer is a Project Manager for the Office of Economic Development team and has been with the team since December 2012. Kelley has managed several projects and programs including Downtown Mesa Association, LaunchPoint and Arizona Laboratories for Security and Defense Research (AZLabs). She is currently the fulltime Project Manager for AZLabs, a 6.5 acre secure campus with space ranging from unclassified to classified, focusing on facility management, daily operations, and business development. In addition, Kelley is spearheading the cyber security and information initiative at AZLabs.
Originally from the metropolitan Detroit area and before joining the City of Mesa, she has served in roles such as director for SBA programs in the nonprofit sector. For more than six years she was the Director of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Mohave Community College, as well as Associate Faculty teaching Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management. In addition, she was the co-owner of a successful contracting company for more than 20 years.
Kelley earned a Bachelor of Business Administration - Management from Walsh College. She is a certified business counselor and holds instructor certifications in NxLevel, FastTrac, and Profit Mastery for entrepreneurs.
