HEALTHCARE & MEDICAL TECH

Dexcom, Inc.

We are thrilled to locate our new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in the Greater Phoenix area where the healthcare industry is seeing accelerated growth. We chose Mesa due to the available, talented workforce, in addition to the proximity to our headquarters in San Diego and our key suppliers. Given our company’s growth, and the growing demand for CGM technology, we felt that a significant expansion of our manufacturing capability in this location was a good strategic fit.

We continue to grow in Mesa because of the access to a great talent pool and the close proximity to key customers both in Arizona and on the West Coast. We wanted to scale this building to be the headquarters of the West to grow our business and support our customers.

Constant Aviation

Why Mesa? As our business grew on the west coast, we recognized that we needed a large west coast presence, one that could provide full-service capabilities and operate as our west coast headquarters rivaling our expansive locations in Cleveland, Ohio and Orlando, Florida. Mesa offered an absolutely gorgeous location and facility, and it operated a talent-rich environment and city. It also provided a location and region that is aviation centric – that is very important to us – and lastly the beautiful weather.

The Boeing Company

The Boeing Company’s location in Mesa, Arizona was once an orange grove and open desert, and more than 30 years ago a facility was constructed to produce helicopters for United States and allied forces. We’re still producing helicopters, and so much more, because of great partnerships with the City of Mesa and the East Valley, local area industry, an engaged workforce, and a community invested in our continued success.

Able Aerospace Systems

When we were deciding on a site for our new facility we had many great choices, including sites out-of-state. The City of Mesa’s Mayor and his team worked hard to devise a win-win scenario that made Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport the best value alternative for Able Engineering. All the way through the process we felt like the City of Mesa was a true partner, and we look forward to many successful years working in, and with, the City of Mesa.

Embraer Executive Jet Services

Embraer Executive Jet Services (EEJS) support strategy to serve its existing and new Phenom and Legacy business jet customers included the deployment of new Embraer Owned Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Service Centers across North America. After a series of extensive studies performed to determine the optimum location for the construction of these EEJS MRO centers, one of the sites retained was Mesa, Arizona. Mesa offers a wonderful hub location for many of our Western United States customers. Weather is mild and predictable making pilot workload easier on flight planning. Mesa is without a doubt a winning location for one of Embraer’s Executive Jet Service Centers.

LOGISTICS & DISTRIBUTION

Crescent Crown Distributing

The City of Mesa is first Rate and a model for how to get things done. The City team set an ambitious goal for the project and together we made it happen. To go from a conceptual rendering to permits in 10 weeks, particularly for a building of this size, must be a record. The entire Mesa team showed dedication, professionalism and cooperation throughout the process.
